We welcome new clients to our hospital FOR PUPPY AND KITTEN FIRST VISIT: Please allow yourself enough time as the first puppy or kitten visit takes about 45 minutes. All family members are encouraged to attend the visit since the vet is going to give valuable information and tips about how to raise your new 4 legged companion (house training, toxic hazards, unwanted behaviour modification, safe toys for pets, grooming, exercising, feeding, nail trim ... etc.) All your questions and concerns about your pet will be answered during the visit, so please make a list. FOR ADULT PET FIRST VISIT: Your pet will have a complete physical examination. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask. The visit will take about 30 minutes. If the visit is for a regular check up and wellness program or for a medical condition, a written estimate will be made and the attending veterinarian will discuss it with you. TO GET A SECOND OPINION:
If your pet has a medical, surgical or behaviour condition on which you would like to get a second opinion, Please contact your current veterinarian and ask them to fax us the previous medical history for your pet prior to your appointment. Our veterinarian needs to know the nature of the condition and what diagnostic tests have been done. He/she also needs to know the treatment protocol that was used. After examining your pet and reading the previous medical history, our veterinarian will explain what needs to be done next and a written estimate with anyfurther necessary diagnostic tests or treatments will be discussed with you. IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY:
In case of a true emergency please let the reception know the nature of the emergency and a brief history of what and how it happened. Our veterinarian will be interrupted from his/her appointment to take your call. All the efforts will be made to see your pet as a priority (an emergency fee will apply). If the emergency would need to be referred to an emergency hospital, the emergency hospital will be contacted, driving direction will be given to you and a summary of the condition will be faxed to the emergency hospital with any test or blood results or x-rays done in our hospital. This will help the emergency hospital to start professional care of your pet as soon as they can. All new clients will be asked to fill a new client data sheet including your personal informations and information about your pet. Your private information is completely confidential in accordance to the requirment of the personal information and electronics documents acts. |
